31st July 2000
We have an O-Ushi Sensei article from the venerable and wise Jim Brophy.
We have some Jeff Kyer deck tech. Fox Miltary. Fox Enlightenment. Fox Honor.
We have a new Bounties section in our GenCon US area.
We have a new ruling on sending home effects. If the sending home effect is canceled so is the bowing effect. Yes! Here is the full ruling text.
28th July 2000
We have a Toturis Army article from Adam Jones. Yay! That just leaves us needing a Monk article for a complete set. Go on, someone out there must play monk!!!
27th July 2000
Its official. The Phoenix have won Race to Volturnum. On the Saturday and Sunday (ie not the qualifiers) Phoenix will automatically go first, unless you Take the Initiative. I can see the old phoenix box being used, probably with some disgusting Sensei! :-) What do you think?
I decided as no one else seemed to want to, that I would do a Naga article. You never know, you might see one at GenCon US! :-) Now all I am looking for is a Toturis Army and a Monk Article (and possibly a real Shadowlands article) to finish the set. Of course any articles on the current environment are good!
25th July 2000
We have a Unicorn article this morning from Darragh Long (the highest ranked player in Ireland).
Interesting Rumour: There will be a Centipede stronghold in Spirit Wars! (Along with a new redeemed Lion stronghold and a new Scorpion stronghold.) What do you think of that?
24th July 2000
Morning all. We have a Ninja article this morning from Andrew Merton. Very nifty stuff. I had never thought of Dark Moto Sensei with the Ninja. Evil.
Decks to watch for at GenCon. This looks nasty. The Fox Attack Denial deck. Taken from Troy Macks' post to the yoritomo list. This deck looks very good.
Congratulations to Gary Cosgrave. Playing Fox dishonor he won the tourney in Carlow, beating Greg McRandals Scorpion dishonor in the final. Here is my tourney report.
Got my first look at some Shirasu Sensei decks. They look pretty good. Expect to see more of 'em in the coming weeks!
21st July 2000
As I got some coverage
last night on Ikoma Andys site (Thanks Gar!), I thought that this would be a good time to
ask for articles again. Anyone interested in writing articles on the current metagame and
environment, I would be very interested in adding them to my GenCon
US section. Check out what's there already!
Mail your articles here.

Check this out! I found this at the Asahina Temple Archives. I have never even heard of some of this stuff. I find it interesting that Yoritomos father is named as Yoshitsune.

Here is the actual deck Scott Hadsall played.
This is from http://home.pacbell.net/n8larsen/thedeli.htm
:
"First off, some bad news. Apparently the card backs are going
to be changed. the IOC (The Internal Olympic Committee) successfully took Wizards of the
Coast to court to cease the use of five interlocking rings. Apparently there is also a
Congressional Law that says the same thing. I REALLY can not blame Wizards for this, but
it does present some problems. I for one, will stick with the game. All information about
Gold Edition will be announced at Gen Con later this month."
Yet again, I apologise for the technical difficulties of yesterday. Freeshell was down, so you were looking at the Xoom site (which just isn't very good). I am looking for somewhere else (preferably free) to host this site. If anyone has any ideas, let me know!
Hurrah!! I have found a decent site!! Xoom is no more. The backup site can now be found at: http://homepage.eircom.net/~yoritomo/index.htm .
17th July 2000
A Ninja player (Scott Hadsall) playing Fox won Origins with the FORD (Fox Oni Rat Deck). Expect to see lots of this deck at GenCon US!
Charles Boyung (of The Fields of Rokugan fame) was there. Check out his report.
Here it is, the Fox deck that Scott Hadsall posted to L5Rinfo some days ago!

Apologies to anyone trying to find this site last night. The server where this site is hosted (freeshell.org) was down. There is a backup site at Xoom where I will redirect to in future server outs. The Xoom site will be a mirror of this one regardless. Incidentally the actual urls of the 2 sites are http://freeshell.org/~yoritomo/index.htm & http://members.xoom.com/_XMCM/toritaka/index.htm . Feel free to book 'em both!
A Rat article by me!
