Hi all,

Just wanted to say thanks to every body I met at Gencon UK, I had a great time and it was nice to put some more faces on 'online' personas. Thanks especially to those I played who were all, without exception, fun to play against. I had a blast...

Some asked if I'd post my deck to this list, so here it is, for those interested. I won't bore you with the whole report as most of you were there ! Apologies to those who don't care :)

Tetsuya is a sensei with no drawbacks for ninja and the (usual) extra turn it can buy is fantastic against military - that, the emperor's peace and the potential three rises is hopefully enough. The explosives are a result of it being a development from the strict jade race to volturnum, where Taka's tricks/master painter gave me a lot of trouble. They are still useful for destroying the odd temple/other powerful holding. Disgraced is an often overlooked card, but is essential against someone like lion who I know from playing a lot myself, best defense  against dishonour is seppuku.

Having seen it in action and talking with the two monk enlightenment players, I would add 3xForgotten Lesson. I wouldn't worry too much about fate size as most cards I drew were useful. Forgotten Lesson returns the possibility of first turn breach, though then a two card combo, against people like lion whom it utterly kills. More importantly, it means the breaches will be useable at some point during every game (unless SL, of course).
