Gencon was great people....I thought it was gonna be an anti-climax after Gencon US, but in away it was better. Gencon UK was a group of people who KNEW everyone, it took about a day to know everyone who was there and to get friendlywith all.

Points of Note.

The L5R Storyline was the biggest of the 4 days with 99 people.

All the clans were represented in the storyline, except the rats.....Phoenix were the most bandwaggoned with about half dropping out during the tournament, while not a single Dragon, Lion or Yoritomo's Alliance guy dropped out. Well done guys.

A large proportion of the Magic Judges took L5R stock as payment for their services.

A large proportion of the Magic Judges asked for Demo's over the 4 days.

Brian Mulcahy sucks at Smackdown on the playstation. He got his Jabroni ass handed to him REPEATDLY. But the transforming trousers were unique to say the least.

Oh and Justin Walsh won AGAIN.....

Highlight of the Con.

Watching any game including Gary Whittle or Joe Jackson. The L5R brand manager came over and wished he'd brought a video camera with him, so he could video the game between Joe and Gary and show it to people. He described it as the most inspiring game of L5R he'd ever seen

L5R Person of the Con.

Split really. Alex Peglar, a Magic player came up to us at last years Gencon to ask about L5R. He spent about 2hrs watching and playing. This year he was here for all 4 days. He sold off parts of his magic collection to play L5R. He just plain enjoyed himself. Gary Whittle, the most pleasent, friendly and gentlemanly person of the whole 4 days. EVERYONE said that they enjoyed playing him. EVERYONE said that he was L5R to the bone.

Special Mention of the Con.

Has to go to the guys who travelled from Finland, Greece and the Czech Republic. They travelled all the way, showed immense clan passion and loyalty and also played in all the tournments.

Funniest Moment of the Con.

Gar's journey into the dark realms, and him being so shocked that he carried a token of jade card around in his pocket for about 2 days..... His soulwill be corrupted.....I forsee it
